iPhone interface

I designed the interface for several iPhone application prototypes for InVisM, Inc. Pictured above is a prototype e-learning application for the US Air Force. I also designed the interface for other application prototypes for other private domestic and international clients, as can be seen here and here.

LCMS New Jersey Website

The New Jersey district of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, in preparation for their 2009 district convention, hired my associate Dan Bergquist and I to redo their website. We designed and built a custom site for them using the SilverStripe content management system, while integrating many of their existing online tools such as Picasa web galleries and Google Calendars.

InVisM Website

InVisM, Inc. is a startup company headquartered in Denver that focuses on providing training, simulation and visualization solutions to clients in the government, defense, commercial and education sectors. They tasked me with designing and implementing their official website. Of particular note is the homepage's slideshow banner with embedded Flash video, highlighting recent news and featured products.

Lemast Consulting Website

ClearPivot LLC is a Denver-based company providing marketing metrics analysis products and services. I worked with ClearPivot to establish their corporate identity and branding, including their official logo and website. For ClearPivot's website, we focused on a clean layout with an attention-grabbing banner header and strong calls to action, along with the scalability needed for future expansion.

Startup Story Radio video podcast intro

Rob McNealy, founder of the successful entrepreneurship and small business podcast StartUpStoryRadio.com, was looking to expand into video podcasting. He hired me to produce motion graphics animation work for the opening and closing of each episode. The main theme of the animation is entrepreneurship, success, and networking/social media. I produced all the animation work in Illustrator and After Effects. The finished animation was rendered out in full 1080p high-definition video.

Army 360 logo logo

ARMY360 is a software training application produced by InVisM, Inc. for the US Army, utilizing immersive 360° video to enhance soldiers' situational awareness training. The design spec simply listed the product name and called for an elliptical shape. I based the outer shape of the logo off of the forms of an Army shoulder badge, and incorporated part of the product interface — the 360° directional finder — into the middle.

Crows Calling at Night

Personal Project
An animated narration of a poem by the Chinese poet Li Bai, one of the most popular and beloved poets from the Tang Dynasty. The visual composition within this animation is in the geometric grid form of traditional Chinese stone-carved calligraphy, while the color scheme and sans-serif typefaces give it a distinctly modern flavor.

Xeolux Website

Xeolux, Inc. is a company based in San Francisco that specializes in intellectual property management consulting. They contracted me to produce a website for them. As they are a small company, they only needed minimal site content. Because the site content only required minimal bandwidth, I could afford to use more extensive image replacement techniques on much of the headline text to create more eye-catching typographic effects.

Zereba Drive is a car rental company in South Africa whose fleet consists entirely of Smart Cars. They hired me to produce a series of Flash banner ads promoting their services. Working with Zereba, I produced three unique banner ads, with each one produced in three different resolutions (120x240, 120x600 and 468x60), for a total of 9 banner ads to be placed on various South African websites.
